HOW I WORK

I work at the intersection of trauma, pelvic care and sexuality – three areas that are deeply connected in the body. Tension, complaints or blockages in one area often affect the others.
Below you can read more about my three main areas of work:

Trauma & chroniC stress

Trauma and chronic stress get stuck in the nervous system, creating tension that lingers long after the original experience or trigger has passed. I work with Somatic Experiencing®, a body-oriented method that helps your nervous system find regulation again. We work step by step, at your pace, so your body can gradually return to a place of rest and resilience.

    PELVIC HEALTH

The pelvis is a center of power, but for many people it’s also a place of pain, disconnection or shame. Pelvic complaints are often tied to tension, trauma, or a lost connection with your body. I work with Integral Pelvic Therapy® and Holistic Pelvic Care®, complementary therapies that gently help restore balance and reconnection in your pelvis. Pelvic care is available for men and women.

    Sex & intimacy

Sex is all around us, but for many people it doesn’t come naturally at all. Sexual problems are often tied to tension in your pelvis, unclear boundaries, shame or (sexual) trauma. When your nervous system doesn’t feel safe, your body can’t relax. And without relaxation, there’s no pleasure. With me, you can talk about sex safely and openly. We start with you, tackle underlying blockages and deepen your connection with your body and sensuality. Always at your pace.

        How does it work?

        1. Free introductory call (30 minutes)

We always start with a free introductory session via Zoom or phone. You share what’s going on and what you’re looking for. I explain how I work and whether I think I can help. We check if there’s a connection and whether my approach is a good fit. No pressure, no obligations—just an exploratory conversation.

        2. Intake and first session (2 hours)

If we decide to work together, we schedule the first session. Beforehand, you complete your intake form, which helps me start shaping our sessions. In the first session, we explore your background, current situation, and goals. We also begin the work itself.

        3. the rest of your journey (1,5 hour sessions)

Consecutive sessions are 1.5 hours, usually scheduled every 2–3 weeks. The number of sessions depends on your situation and goals. We regularly evaluate progress and adjust as needed. Between sessions, you’ll receive exercises and reflections to support your process and fill your toolbox for long-term integration.

        Frequently asked questions

How long will we work together?

I offer various packages, starting from 6 sessions over a few months, up to longer-term trajectories. What’s needed varies per person and per goal. After completing your first package, you can either continue with a new package or you can book single sessions. We regularly review your progress together, and you decide when you feel ready to pause or move forward.

        Do you offer online sessions?

Yes! Much of my work can be done online via Zoom. Many people appreciate being able to work from the privacy of their own home.

Even for pelvic work there are options online. We can do significant preparatory work online and sessions that focus on self-body work. For hands-on bodywork, we need to meet in person.

It’s also possible to create a hybrid approach. We’ll discuss what makes sense for your situation in our introductory call.

Do you work with men, or only women?

Yes, I work with both men and women. I am trained to work with all genders in the areas of trauma healing, sexuality, and pelvic health.

Are your sessions covered by health insurance?

No, my work is not covered by standard or supplementary health insurance. Some employers reimburse sessions through a staff wellness or personal vitality budget. You can check with your employer if this applies to you.

Who is this work not suitable for?

If you are currently feeling deeply unstable or in an acute crisis, I recommend seeking standard support first (e.g. your GP, a psychologist, or crisis intervention). My work helps people move from being “stable” to “thriving,” and I am not a crisis professional. If you have severe psychiatric conditions, it’s advisable to seek appropriate professional support first.

How do I know if this is right for me?

Book a free introductory call and we’ll talk about it. We take the time to see if there’s a connection, whether my approach is a good fit, and whether I can support you with your goals. Most people get a good sense fairly quickly.

The introductory session is completely no-pressure and non-committal. And people appreciate that I am also very honest – if I feel we’re not a good match or if I can’t give you the support you need, I’ll try to help you find an alternative.

        Are sessions confidential?

Absolutely. Everything you share with me is fully confidential. I follow professional codes of conduct and have a legal duty of confidentiality.

Sometimes I discuss anonymized cases in peer supervision groups to ensure the quality of my work. All information is anonymized so that no one can identify you as my client.

If it would be helpful to consult with other professionals you are working with, I only do so with your explicit permission. You are always in control.
